BLCA Families Award $4,000.00 in scholarships to two NBHS students

Congratulations to Sydney Smith recipient of the Howard V. Randolph, Jr. Memorial Scholarship, and the Alice T. Cone Memorial Scholarship. Sydney is attending Hampton University in the Fall. It was fitting to learn that both of the Randolph children are graduates of Hampton. The Cone Family was represented by Ms. Sharon Cone and the Randolph Family was represented by Mrs. Novella Randolph.
 

Congratulations to Candace Hunte recipient of the Ruby Hudson Community Service Scholarship and the Wendell Bodden Sr. Memorial Scholarship. Candace is attending Dominican University in the Fall for nursing. Candace was also among a select group of North Babylon High School Students that scored 1350+ on the SAT. The Hudson Family was represented by Ms. June Hudson, Ms. Tracy Williams, and Mr. William Hudson, and the Bodden Family was represented by Mrs. Natalie Bodden and Ingrid Bodden.
 

Our recipients exemplify servant leadership at a young age through a steadfast commitment to their studies, extracurricular activities, and local civic association. They set aside time to give back through spring and fall cleanups, attending civic meetings, and participating in Summer and holiday gatherings. Our recipients learned a valuable lesson at an early age if you want to be great, serve people.
 

Please join us in celebrating our seniors and wishing them well as they enter this new journey of their life. Our seniors have God and their community. Nothing can stop them now. God Speed and God Bless.
